The Blessing of Being Able to Vote

As I voted this morning for the Mid-Term Elections I looked around the room and saw men and women, people of various skin colors, and am sure people of different religious beliefs and life style choices. Yet, we were all voting our conscience and exercising our Right as a Citizen and enjoying the Freedom of living in America. It is easy to forget how blessed we are to be able to go and vote. Between the spread of Terror, Disease and Turmoil both here and abroad we are still “One Nation Under God” and a people of compassion, love and the American dream. The World used to look at America as a leader. Our elected officials need to remember we are Americans first before political affiliation. Terror organizations use faith as the means for their Evil…if America is going to lead the world on defeating these terror groups we need to Lead the World in bringing God back to the process of our everyday life… Abraham Lincoln’s words are as relevant today as they were in 1858, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” Our enemies want us to be divided…together we cannot be defeated! Lincoln paraphrased the following passage from the Bible,
Matthew 12:25, when he spoke of a house divided:
“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.”
It is time we Listen to God’s words!!!
